DIn 2023

 

In 2023, we were gathered in the middle of the North Carolina pines (mid pines, as they may say), laughing, loving, romping around in rompers, doing a thing that somewhat resembled golf.  Was that the best LBI trip yet?  It’s certainly up there!  We’ll back up that claim with some statistics in a minute (or less depending on your reading level), but first a few highlights from the trip.  I’ll throw these out here in bullet form - and if you know…you know.

 

• Ciarlo shrugs off an early assassination attempt by turkey burger to win the whole damn thing!

• *knock knock* / Who’s there? / “It’s me, Big John.  I couldn’t help but notice a bunch of cars outside, and thought you fellas might be in need of a cab service at some point this week.

• Karaoke night at Dugans:

  • @#$@ing Big John was right, this place was great (dammit).

  • The locals absolutely LOVED us, even after Tini told them they looked like the “Pogue’s” from “Outer Banks” (he wasn’t wrong).

  • "The dude hosting karaoke night sounds better than Oliva Newton John” ~Kevin Judge.

  • Tini loves karaoke.  I didn’t know this about him…. but it makes me love the man even more!  He spent more time analyzing his singing performance video(s) than he did analyzing his swing. 

  • Careless Whisper is one of the all-time great karaoke songs.  Fact.

• Team Romper!

• Pitcher chugs of IPA….a good idea!  Go Bills!

• Fun new game; guess how many clubs Tini has in his hands vs remaining in his bag.

• Gambling may not be allowed at Bushwood, but it makes for one hell of a good time at Mid South!

• Hotel Mo’vid
